This is a full-time, regular classified position. The position will report to the Executive Director of Student Financial Resources. The position is anticipated to start as early as November 1, 2019 but no later than December 1, 2019. The mission of Student Financial Resources is to deliver streamlined, timely, and coordinated services to prospective, current, and former students. The Program Specialist II (PSII) assists the Executive Director by providing leadership and management to a skilled team of financial aid staff. The PSII is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations and coordination of BTC's financial aid programs. This position is also responsible for independently advising students, staff, and the public regarding financial aid policies, procedures, and activities. This position will resolve problems within the delegated area, and may also have limited authority to approve budget expenditures. The PSII will assist the Executive Director with reporting activities such as the FISAP and State Interim reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university AND three years minimum experience providing student financial assistance services, including awarding aid, funds management, reporting; OR A combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.
-Experience working with automated financial assistance management systems and databases.


Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university;
-Supervisory experience;
-Direct experience with state and federal financial aid.
