Summary of Duties:

This position has primary responsibility for day-to-day contact, advising and guidance of students, faculty, staff, and parents in all areas of Student Financial Services. Position will provide support to the department’s multi-faceted Student Success Initiatives and Communications area. Programmatic duties involve financial aid and scholarships programs and processing, client services facilitation, utilizing award adjustment, professional judgment, and needs analysis skills. Additional duties include but are not limited to training support and communications content development and editing for department print publications, website, and social media. Other duties also include: participating in recruitment and outreach events, and providing presentations to a variety of groups. Position duties and responsibilities will be performed in support of the office vision, mission and values as well as institutional mission and goals.

 

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Experience with large group presentations

-Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/evenings

-Demonstrated experience working in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with student services in a higher education setting

-Experience working in Financial Aid and Scholarships, Admissions, Student Accounts, Academic Advising, Registrar, Graduate School, Athletics, and/or Housing and Dining

-Experience working with People-Soft

-Master’s Degree in a related field

-Bilingual/Bi-literate in English and Spanish
